Hei!

Looking out the window now and its clear that Autumn has arrived: its cold and wet....and very dark! The season is now winding down. I hope you all heard about the harvest party/planning meeting thats on October 12th. That will be a chance to take stock and get plans rolling for next year.

As for now, we are actually in the prime of our harvest. It makes a pleasant change to spend most of my time in the garden gathering vegetables and sorting for the share. As you can see in the photo, there is a reasonable amount of veg and the quality is OK. For me, the real prize this year are the porkkanoita. Big and bursting with flavour. It is especially gratifying because this crop was the focus of so much of our talkoot efforts.







This week (its now 22/9) a big group from Sylvia koti will come to help with the porkkana harvest and next week we will have a couple of classes from Steiner koulu.
